Genelia's adventures
Chapter 1
Genelia stood at the hallway. She waited and waited but her dad did not return. Her mother came by her side. She put her hand on her shoulder. Genelia turned and gave her mom a hug. Her heart was pounding and her eyes got heavy and tears poured out. She was a very sensitive girl. She also had an elder sister, veronica and an elder brother, jake. Genelia was a teenage girl, 13 years old. She was very sensitive. Her dad and mom's divorce was her worst memory. Her mom had their custody and they could meet their dad two days in a week. Veronica entered into the hallway, she seemed different as if she had been upset for a while or rather crying. Her mascara had smudged giving her a smoky look. she pushed her brown and blonde hair aside and walked , a rather brisk one and came near her mom. 'happy, aren't you,' she nearly screamed into her mom's ear. ' dad left us he didn't want to. You gave him divorce. He loved us a lot. Its all because of u. I…'
Before she could stop her mother slapped her hard. That's why veronica hated mom. She would speak without thinking and then face the circumstances. 'I hope you know why I gave divorce to your father.' Said her mom, as angry as ever. '
'that's why I say, you never involve me in your talks. We need to know whats going on in the house. We are members and we need to have a part and the freedom to express what we think about the family matters.' Veronica said almost breathlessly
' do you even know how mom feels, it's very difficult to understand how a lady feels after a divorce and after the know the fact that they are all alone' genelia said, now joining the conversation for the sake of her mom.
'Whatever. You are too small for all this.'
'Stop it you two.' Have dinner and go to bed. I am done with all this. I can't handle you anymore.'
Her mom put the plates on the table. All the members exept jake were on the table. Just as genelia bit into the cheese and ham sandwich Jake came out from the play room. His Nintendo in his hand.
'hola guys, he said as he had a gulp of beer from a can of beer in his hand.
' you can't have beer you are underage Jake throw that bottle right now.'
'why, oh yes I would for the sake of cheese and ham sandwiches.'
'I understand how you feel. Even if others don't' veronica said.
'we will go for a movie to pep up our mood at 9 today. Get ready.'
'wow mom that's fun. Which movie is it? smurfs 2 or wolverine.'
'Wolverine, genelia. Because my son wants to. Right jake?
'Yes mom am sure about it.' jake said as happy as ever.
'Count me out' veronica said haughtily.
'Who wants you man' genelia said with attitude.
'ok then, we are going and that's that.'
After the movie everyone came tired. Genelia was almost asleep. Jake was walking halfheartedly. His handsome face looking very tired. Veronica was fast asleep when her mother came and sat beside her.
'hope you would understand how I feel veronica. I have always wished to have a strong relation with you. Which should be filled with love, warmth, affection and respect. I always felt bad when I saw our relation was filled with hatred. But I know one day you will understand. She stroked veronica's hair and her head and then slowly walked out of the room.
Genelia was standing by the door. She had tears swelling up again. Why was this happening. She did not wish to cry but her feelings made her cry. Deep in she was dying. Because she was missing her dad. He destroyed everything. But what did her dad do she wanted to find out. And that she would. She was angry about veronica's attitude towards her mother. She had to sort things out just for the sake of her family . and with the heavy heart she went to sleep.
