Perry groaned as an altogether-too-enthusiastic knock sounded through the apartment. He stalked to the door, threw it open, and glared at JD, holding a 6-pack, a grin plastered on his face. "Hiya, Perry!" he greeted the older doctor, then pushed past him to enter the apartment. "Did I wear the right colors?" he asked, still in that overly-chipper voice that simultaneously grated Perry's nerves and made his heart flutter uncomfortably. Taking in JD's overwhelmingly black-and-gold apparel, Perry allowed a reluctant smile.

"Yeah, Newbie, you did."

JD grinned even wider, if possible, then made his way into the apartment, chattering about something or other. Perry followed him to the couch, happy that JD seemed to finally get a sporting event. His glee was cut short however, as JD asked obliviously, "Two questions: who are we cheering for, and what sport is this?"

"It's the Super Bowl, Newbie, and we're cheering for the Steelers," Perry replied, sighing. It's gonna be a long night…
