Android's Soul
Rommie's Thoughts
They say that I must have a soul,
I wonder if this can be right.
For I am not of flesh and blood,
And I've no need for sleep at night.

I was told that if one could love,
Then a soul they did possess.
But is it love that inside I feel,
Or just a computer virus?

I watch him as he works so hard,
Dedicated to his task.
He has no clue of how I feel,
I hide behind a mask.

My crew I watch and protect,
It's my purpose and my aim.
But they've become much more to me.
I've only myself to blame.

I'm not sure when it happened,
Or how the feeling did start,
But sometime after they freed me,
I gave this crew my heart.

Which brings me back to my question.
Is what I've been told true?
Does an android have a soul,
I wonder,… Do you?
