Yay! First fanfic ever! I'm not really sure how to do the layout and stuff yet, but I'll catch on
.This is based off Ocarina of Time, after Zelda sends link back and she is left without him. Usually I like to believe that he remembered everything and stuff, but that wouldn't have worked for my story. I think the game kinda leaves that up to the viewer anyway...
Also, this story is kinda based off the Linkin park song, Forgotten.
I don't own anything mentioned in this story.

Princess Zelda POV

Outside, it was raining. "What a dreary day" I mumbled. I was up in my room staring out of the window. The sun was still rising, I've always been an early bird. Since I was probably one of the only people awake in all of Hyrule, I didn't feel the need to get ready for the day anytime soon.
My mind began to wander, It had been seven years since my adventure with Ganondorf and Link.
Link... I had to send him back, it wouldn't have been right of me to keep him here, and deprive him of his childhood.
I loved him, yet I sent him back...I haven't heard of him since.
"I wonder if he remembers me or not" I found myself speaking out loud again. I thought about this for a little while.
"He probably does" I answered, searching for the hope. But, if he did...why hasn't he come to see me yet? To tell me all about his adventures and victories.
I wouldn't erase his memory, that would be a stupid thing to do. Even now, I don't fully understand my powers. I...I...
I don't know, I really don't know...
I sighed, and walked to the bathroom. I needed to get ready, there was a festival planned today. Today, the day that seven years ago link had banished the evil. Even if Link did not remember his own victories, I did, and I will make sure that no one ever forgets.
But of course he did remember. Rays of hope were still within me, that he'd come riding up on his horse saying "Zelda! I missed you so", and we'd live happily ever after.
I started brushing my hair, while staring into the mirror and thinking how lovely that would be.
Without warning, I started sobbing uncontrollably, and dropped to my knees. I don't know what came over me, I felt really depressed all of a sudden.
He didn't remember, I knew it, something inside of me told me. Something inside...
I could feel words forming inside of me, telling me what I knew was the truth. Lies, I had covered the truth with lives, I shouldn't do that. Something, someone, was telling me.
I started to feel shaky, I tried to stand up, but only to fall back with a thud and hurt my ankle. Gasping out in pain, I realized that I had probably twisted my ankle, but it didn't matter much. I could feel another presence inside my body, trying to get out.
"I'm going insane, I'm going insane" I chanted out loud. My mind felt like it was being twisted and stretched out. I started to moan in pain, my survival instincts were taking over, I had to get out of the bathroom. I grabbed onto the sink and slowly lifted myself up, my ankle hurt like hell, but my body was no longer responding to pain. Surprisingly I managed to stand again. The first thing I saw when I came up was my reflection in the mirror. My reflection, sorta, even though my vision was blurred I could clearly see the crimson eyes glaring at me.
I fainted, what did you expect me to do? I am still a princess.
Sorry if that was short.... I'm not really sure how long chapters should be.
So, tell me what you think, if you want to . And constructive crits are very welcome since I'm new at this.
And... a cliffhanger!!!!
