Who she was...
A bookworm, a goody-two shoes, a prefect, future head-girl it is who she was. She was one-third of the golden trio, gryffindor's resident know-it-all. Who she was, was the girl everyone assumed would end up with Ronald Weasley. She was a bushy haired, buck-toothed, muggleborn. It's who she was.
No one ever really noticed who she was, except for the obvious things. What no one cared to see was that she was a good and loyal friend, she was a hardworking student, she was a loving person of all creatures. She was pure, and kind. She was feisty. She didn't care who you were, she would argue with you to get her point across. She was beautiful. She was amazing. She was wise beyond her years.
This is who she was, and he saw all of it- plus more. He saw that she was the only person who had a sparkle in her eye that could rival Dumbledore's when she was talking about those she cared about. She was the only one he could argue with but not be mad at for more than ten minutes. She was the young girl who rescued him from death when she was merely thirteen, and kept his best friends deepest secret in the same year. She was the girl turned young woman who had stolen his heart. She was the only woman, he could say he truly ever loved, because he was hopelessly in love with her, even though she was half his age.
He didn't care about the age though. A girl who was young enough to be his daughter, but still returned his feelings. She was in love with him. And that's all the mattered to him. He only ever cared about who she was...
