Thank you so much. Thank you for always staying by my side, for all the advice you gave, for easing my loneliness. Thank you for talking to me, for guiding me, for helping me even when I did not ask. Thank you for watching the sun rise with me. I will never forget those beautiful purple and orange hues or the way the stars sparkled in the sky. And I will never forget the sound of your voice as we parted, the voice that had become a familiar comfort to me when I had no other.
Thank you so much. Thank you for dropping out of the sky when we first met, for your mischief-filled taunts, for your crazy games. Thank you for always letting me find you, for always letting me catch you no matter where you hid. Thank you for reminding my heart to fly like a bird, when it was so weighed down by all I had lost. Thank you for letting me see you one last time before we said our final goodbyes. Thank you, thank you, thank you, my best friend. I will forever treasure that short time we spent together playing in the fairgrounds under the full moon.
Thank you so much. Thank you for giving me hope when I thought all was lost, for giving me a fragile dream to chase. Thank you for the fleeting glimpses of you when my burdened heart felt it could take no more. Thank you for all the memories you have left me, for the treasure of your company, for letting me share my thoughts even if you did not answer me. Thank you most of all for that first encounter that brought me to you and all the others. You have brought me so much joy and happiness, even if you never knew.
Thank you so much. Thank you for the friendships I've had and all the beauty in the world. Thank you for the cool breeze that kisses my face, for the perfect shade of bright green the grass keeps, and for the bright yellow sun that blinds me when I look up. Thank you for all I've ever had. I will never forget the life you gave me to lead. And thank you because now that I am all alone again, you've come to take me home. Please, take me home.
