My name is Tanner and I'm your avergage 16 year old. I go to school, worry about grades, and stuff. Oh, and, I'm gay too. There was nothing really too important happening in my life. Well, until today, that is.
I was walking to school, as usual, passing by the old Bone-eaters Well. I stopped to sit on it, like I normally do. It was habit. But, then things started to get weird. I felt a wave of heat on my back. I instantly shot up to see the cause of it. It seemed to be coming... from the well. I looked down, VERY stupidly might I add, to see white ribbon things shoot up out of the well. That's when they wrapped around my arms and legs and pulled me in.
Naturally, I was screaming like a little girl. I mean, wouldn't you?
I didn't hit the bottom of the well though. I went THROUGH it. A bunch of colors were flying around. That's when a face shot up and stared me dead in the eye. The face was a lady's face, with long brunette hair. But there was something off about her. I glanced down to see the body of.. of.. a centipede! Damn right, there's something off about her! She screamed at me to give her some jewel thing. She screamed again.
"Give me the Jewel of Four Souls, you mortal!"
I wish I could say that I said, "Hell no, you ugly skank." and punched her to death but no. I screamed and flung my hand at her face as her tongue (EW) was touching my cheek. A bright pink light emerged from my hand as she screamed and flew up. Wait, up? We were inside the well again. '...I'm high aren't I. That's it. I'm high.' I thought to myself. I mean, wouldn't you think you were tripping on acid or something? I climbed out to be in a forest. 'Oh shit, I'm going to be soooo late for class! And what the hell was that lady-pede thing?'
I walked around in the forest for a bit until I tripped on a root. My luck, naturally. I looked up to see the most stunning man I have ever seen. Ever. He had long, silky looking, silver hair. A nice body. Weird clothes. Red clothes. He looked like he was asleep. And then there was the arrow in his chest. Wait, the arrow? I got up and ran over. The arrow was piercing his chest. He was probably dead. 'OH SHIT, I NEED TO CALL 911.' I got out my cell to find there was no signal. I reached up to pull the arrow out so he could at least rest in peace with nothing protruding out of his body. Unless it's supposed to be there, if you catch my meaning. As I reached up, I noticed something else.
He had dog ears. 'Oh shit. I'm high. I KNEW IT.' I put my hand on the arrow to pull it out, when once I touched it, the pink light disintegrated it. 'Is that supposed to happen?'
A pair of hands grabbed me by the back. It were his. He swung as around and pinned me to the tree.
"Who the hell are you and what are you doing?" He growled.
"I was pulling an arrow out of your chest.." I said while trembling.
He pulled one hand off of me and put it to where the arrow was.
"That bitch.." he mumbled, "THAT STUPID BITCH. I'm going to kill him with my bare hands. How could he have betrayed me?" He was saying to himself in a very angry tone.
"Can.. can I please go? I don't want to die.."
He looked up at me, into my eyes, for the first time. I felt my heart skip a beat.
"How could you have done this to me, Kyko? You betrayed me!"
"Who's Kyko? My name is Tanner and I don't even know who you are!" I yelled, getting a grip. I shoved him off of me. He fell on his ass. I could almost see the steam rolling out of his ears. For the first time, I noticed he had claws. Sharp claws. He got up and flexed his hands. They got sharper.
"You'll regret doing that, Tanner." He said as he took a step towards me.
