"I have never loved another"
As Arthur left, his words rang through her heart. She turned away and put her hands on her table for support. She had reminded him of her station, had re-drawn the lines that she had just crossed, she was not a beautiful princess, she was just a servant and he would find someone worthy, at that she saw a single tear fell from her onto the rose.
Just then she heard the door open and she was being turned around by strong hands and before she knew it Prince Arthur was kissing her. When the kiss ended he was still holding her, his face so close she could feel his breath tickling her lips. He spoke softly as he looked at her "You always have faith in me Guinevere, now I want you to have faith in us, in our future" he stroked a curl away from her face and gently let her go and before she could even answer he was gone.
She stood there her mouth still tingling from his kiss and his words replaying in her head 'Have faith in us, in our future' and she closed her eyes and smiled.
