Merryweather stood outside of a door, with her head against it. She was eavesdropping on what her older brother had told her was a very important conversation that she was too young to be a part of. She continued to listen to her brother, Riff, Oscar, and Crehador talk. She adjusted herself, trying to keep her flip flops from making any noise. She was now able to actually hear some of their conversation in her new position. While standing next to the door, she heard Cain mention Delilah. Merryweather listened intently, since she knew how reckless Cain could get when it came to Delilah, their father's organization. She got as close to the door as she possibly could, only to hear the sounds of chairs getting pushed in. Merryweather silently cursed to herself, and ran to her room, where she was supposed to be the entire time, as quickly as she could. Unfortunately for her, she lost one of her flip flops right in front of the room that everyone was coming out of, which didn't take long for Cain to notice and pick up.

Merryweather quickly laid on her bed, and started to work on her homework. She had not noticed losing one of her flip flops during her escape. She smiled to herself, thinking that she wouldn't get caught, until she heard the knock on the door. She frowned, before trying to look as innocent as possible, "Yes…."

Her brother entered her room, with a 'I know what you did' expression. Merryweather smiled, and decided to try playing dumb, while sitting up to make room for her brother. Cain walked over to her bed, and sat down next to her, "How much of your homework have you finished?"

Merryweather showed him the papers she had finished, "It's pretty hard…"

Cain looked at the papers and her, obviously not buying her reason, "Is it? What are you working on?" Merryweather avoided her brother's look, before grabbing the first paper she found. Cain shook his head, "You haven't even done anything on it. Anything else you have to say that you were doing during my meeting. Merryweather shrugged, and shook her head no.

Cain sighed at his sister's stubbornness, and pulled out the flip flop that she had lost by the door. Merryweather's expression turned to complete horror, as she looked down at her feet and noticed only one flip flop, and the other one was in her brother's hand.

Cain sighed, and tossed the flip flop on the floor by her feet, "Don't spy on my adult conversations again, or I'll have to punish you. Maybe, I'll have you start living with Uncle Neil…" Merryweather looked down in shame, before muttering, "Sorry…" Cain got up to leave, wondering how much she had been able to hear, but didn't want to ask her about it and have her turn the question against him.
