Author's Note: ANOTHER few drabbles I wrote at work. Gotta have a serious talk with my boss ;) ... so anyway, this is my take on a a few scenes between Laura and Bill, hope you like it (if you do please leave a review :). Still need another beta-reader by the way, so write me if you're interested.
He's going to kiss me.
My knees are wobbly. My strength deserts me a little more each day. I don't have much time left.
I'm dying and he's going to kiss me anyway.
His grip on my arm is firm, helping me stand. He could let go of me, but he doesn't. We're standing a little bit closer than necessary and it feels good.
He smiles at me and I smile in return, the anticipation fluttering in my stomach despite my condition. His lips close over mine. The taste is bittersweet and my heart cries over what could have been.
