It was hard sometimes, always being inferior to his sister. Oh, he was proud of her, of course, but was it really so bad to want just a little bit of recognition? Mikuo sighed, before falling flat on his back on the grass, gazing up at the star-studded sky. The moonlight shone down on him, offering him his own little spotlight, as if offering compensation for the ones he'd probably never get. After what seemed like hours simply lying down, someone else sat down beside him. "Hey."

"Hey."

Akaito lay down beside the teal-haired boy, looking up at the glittering stars. "It's nice out tonight." He said quietly, receiving a slight sound of agreement. Silence prevailed for several minutes, before Mikuo rolled over, looking up at the redhead. "Akaito…Have you ever been jealous of Kaito because of his success?" He questioned, eyes glowing slightly in the pale light. The redhead was silent for several minutes, while Mikuo went on. "I…I guess you could say that I've been…kind of envious of Miku…I'm happy for her, I mean, she was one of the first Vocaloids to make it big, no huge in the music world! But…I can't help but wish…I could do that too…" He smiled wearily at his childhood friend, shaking his head slightly. "You must think I'm a total bastard, huh?"

Akaito shook his head, smiling himself. "Of course not. I feel the same way about Kaito too sometimes." He looked up at the stars, moonlight illuminating his face before he turned back to Mikuo. "Somehow, I get the feeling we'll both get our moment of glory soon."

All right, here's just a little scribble I did in one of my notebooks, looked over, then figured, "Eh, why the hell not?" and typed it up. Super short…Don't hurt me!

Read and review, and if I get enough reviews I just might do a little romance fic for Mikuo and Akaito~ Goddesses know that we need more of those.
