Disclaimer: I do not own this surprisingly kickass show, but I'm glad to be Canadian and able to watch it outside of youtube.

It didn't make any sense.

They weren't exactly Adonises, stitched together or not, but something had drawn her to them anyway.

Maybe it was their laugh.

Len's was loud and expressive, Frank's was subtle and relaxed, but together it was one of the most pleasant sounds she had ever heard. Better than their latest hit song. Better than the soothing cracks and booms of a thunderstorm. Better than her singing voice asleep.

Maybe it was their music.

Lyrics. Song. Stage. Audience. Frank and Len lived the art of performing, and music was the air they breathed. She could understand this devotion; being their part-time lead singer (whenever she could catch a snooze) allowed her see the brothers' main interest (if interest was strong enough a word) in a completely renewed light. Frank and Len used their gift not only for enjoyment, but as a way to communicate with the world, to be extraordinary for more than just being conjoined twins. Of course they never would never actually say it, if the thought had even occurred to them, but the message got through anyway.

Maybe it was their personalities.

For the most part, the brothers were alike: Fun-loving, laid-back, good-natured, spontaneous, and almost NEVER on the same page. Though unconsciously, they were linked to the point that their thoughts, and even their emotions, could overlap one another. However, Frank and Len would always be two individual halves of the same body (if their bizarre clothing wasn't proof enough), with the individual traits to match.

Len was always the charmer of the two; a cheeky grin here, a flirtatious wink there, and the female fans came flocking, seemingly oblivious that he was half of a two-headed lead guitarist. Though both brothers were rather childish, it was Len who could truly be called a kid at heart: clueless, naive, but with an idealistic view of the world that was oddly dissimilar to Ruby's.

Frank was the more grounded one; with a brother that practically lived with his head up in the clouds, he HAD to be. There was also no denying that he was, if just slightly, more intelligent than his twin. His long-suffering sigh that sometimes followed his brother's more outlandish statements was a testament to his dormant maturity, fighting its way out from time to time, but never staying permanently.

It was these similarities, these differences, that made up Frank and Len. and she could not pick one over the other. Rarely was she ever one to be ruled by her heart, but she could not deny that her heart wanted them both.

Maybe it was her.

Maybe she NEEDED Frank and Len; needed something to break the monotony of disasters, to put a new spark in her life. Something so loud and ridiculous and exasperating and undeniably FUN that she could (temporarily) forget she was a walking time-bomb. That went off almost constantly.

Maybe it didn't make any sense, but maybe it didn't matter.

Maybe she would do something about it.

Maybe.

A/N: Yes, I'm a MiseryxFrankn'Len shipper. Sorry Iris fans, I just don't see enough interaction between her and them to see anything happening. BUT before you accuse me of hypocrisy, I know that Misery hasn't shown any interest, especially compared to Ruby with Skullboy, and I'm not gonna be one of those keeners that list all those half-evidence things within the show (OMG FranknLen rote a SONG for her itz LUV peoplz!!! :D:D:D:D), I just think it would be an interesting pairing, considering the fact that it's technically a threesome... okay let's not chart into THAT territory quite yet. A braver Ruby Gloom fan can tackle that one.

P.S. Constructive criticism is appreciated, but please be gentle :P
