Not the End
"Where're we anyway?" Dean grumbled, unwilling to admit to being lost.
"Just outside Detroit," answered Castiel from the backseat, without looking up from his book.
"Yeah? Y'know, I could really go for a Coney dog right..."
Sam looked over at his brother to see that Dean had gone pale, his breathing labored.
"You okay?" Sam asked. Dean pulled over, threw the car door open and vomited by the side of the road.
Dean got back in, dialing a number on his cell, his hands shaking.
Sam listened, stunned, as Dean passed the details of their hunt over to Garth.
Dean sat for a while, muttering under his breath.
"Did you just pray?" asked Castiel in surprise.
"I didn't think you believed in God?" Sam interrupted in honest curiosity.
"Course I do! Angel in the backseat's enough proof, even for me. Just think he's a shitty dad," countered Dean. "Sorry Cas," he added as Castiel winced at the blasphemy.
"Just needed to say thanks for what I got," Dean said in a small voice, avoiding eye contact.
As Dean turned the car around, Sam wondered what had him so spooked. All Sam could see was a sign...
"Welcome to Camp Chitiqua"

Anti Camp
"Camp is a vision of the world in terms of style - but a particular style. It is the love of the exaggerated." - Susan Sontag
Julie enjoyed people watching, it relieved the boredom of waiting tables in the motel diner that at some point seemed to have become her life. May as well get some use out of that psychology degree.
She beamed as Sam walked up to settle his bill. "So was everything alright for you?"
"Yeah, this place has gotta be one of the nicer places we've stayed."
"You travel a lot with your brother and his... partner?"
"Yeah, we've been on the road for a while now. But they're just friends"
"Oh? Sorry, no offense, they just look a little... intense."
"Don't worry, they get that a lot. I think it's that staring thing they do."
"Um, your brother's kinda anti camp. When he hit on me earlier it was like he was trying too hard, but not really interested, y'know?
"Well, they seem to sort each other out." Sam laughed at Julie's expression. "Not like that!"
"Shame, maybe if they did they wouldn't look so tense," she added with a cheeky grin. "It's important to hold onto happiness where you can find it, don't you think?"
Sam smiled back at her arched look.
"So, you staying another night?"
"I am now."
