Hinata Hyuga's eyes were like mother of pearl...or akin to opals in their color. Nearly see through, but determined to keep their secrets safe. Pity that such defenses were no match for Konan's own eyes.
Konan's eyes were dark and pitiless, no one ever saw any form of emotion there. Except, perhaps, Pein. He was the only one who could read her eyes. That was okay.
Hinata hyuga loved Naruto Uzumaki. She had confessed it when they had been fighting Pein. Naruto had not known what to think.
But it hadn't mattered, stupid children that thought a declaration of silly love would pause a fight for long...It hadn't, Pein had no time or patience for such childish things. Neither did Konan, though the way the Hyuga girl's eye's had lit up had caught the origami master's attention.
All konan had in this world was Pein. He was all she needed in this world.
Though, as she charged the Hyuga girl, Konan briefly wondered what it would have been like, to have such a declaration directed at her. Such childish love.
It didn't matter.
