Here is a one shot of what could've happened the morning after the trail with olitz. enjoy and thank you all so much! ———
Olivia slowly begins to wake up, feeling arms wrapped around her tightly. Her body stiffens at the feeling, unsure of what is going on. As she fully begins to wake up, last nights memories flood back into her mind.
She had slept with Governor Grant. Her skin heats from the memory of his mouth all over her. He was skilled and did things to her that she never thought was possible. Her body stiff in his arms as the memories continue to flood her mind. His hands were so gentle and sweet as he touched her all over. He made her feel special and incredible. The way he made love turned her world in chaos. He was incredible at it and reached her in places she didn't know existed.
Olivia shakes her head. She made a huge mistake. She slept with a married man who was about to become president. But what she felt for him was love - she couldn't love him.
She needed out of this bed and out of this room. Olivia slowly opens her eyes, greeted by the most beautiful image of the man sleeping soundly. His face peaceful and relaxed as he slept, his dirty blonde eyelashes pressed against his cheek as he sleeps. His breaths soft and deep.
Olivia finds herself lost in the moment, watching him sleep. She had never experienced this feeling - her stomach was in twists and warmth filled her heart.
You cannot love him, Olivia. This is wrong and you know it.
Olivia shook her head, slowly escaping his grip and getting out of bed with a sheet wrapped around her body. He was so gentle and loving last night, telling her she was doing just fine and how beautiful she was. She was nervous and unsure of herself but he made it okay.
She slips on her panties that were on the floor right next to the bed, grabbing her bra that was right next to it and clasping it on. Her bag sat in front of the door by his bag, stepping over the broken lamp, she grabbed her bag and found clothes to put on for the breakfast they had planned.
You did wrong, Olivia.
Olivia quietly closed the bathroom door, swallowing hard as stared at herself in the mirror. Her eyes big and worried. Her plan is to get dressed and escape this room as quickly as possible. They would go on with their lives like it never happened.
Olivia buttons up a blouse and pulls on slacks, staring at her messy sex hair and tries to pat it down. She settled with a bun, fixing her bangs and slipping out of the bathroom.
"Olivia." A husky, baritone voice fills the room. His voice sent shivers up her spine.
No. No. No. This wasn't part of the plan.
She swallows hard, turning to face the handsome man in bed. His curls messy and his face sleepy. He sits up in bed as he looks at her, "Where are you going?" He asks, his voice full of sleep as well.
"I'm going." Olivia whispers, her throat dry as she finally meets his loving blue eyes. He is so gorgeously handsome and she can't stand it.
Fitz shakes his head, "What? Why? Come back to bed. We can order an early breakfast." He whispers, yawning and seeing the look of disgust on her face when he says it.
Olivia grabs her bag quickly, "We have a breakfast in an hour, Governor Grant. I better be going." Olivia says coldly, throwing her clothes from last night in her bag.
Fitz gets out of bed quickly, his glorious body on display as he does so, "Sir, please put on some clothes." She whispers, taking in his abs and hard chest for one last time. Her eyes slipping down to his very impressive morning wood and looking away quickly.
Fitz chuckles in frustration, "We spent all of last night naked and making love. You know my body." He says, looking at her and shaking his head as he pulls on boxers.
Olivia steps back, "Do not come near me. I made a mistake. We made a mistake. I lost control and I shouldn't of. You are married and about to be president. This can't happen, it will never happen again. I'm sorry for this, Governor Grant." She says professionally, putting her wall back up that she let down for one night and made a huge mistake.
Fitz steps back, watching her with wide eyes, "Olivia. I love you. I'm in love with you. Last night was not a mistake. It was us. Us having a chance." Fitz says, seeing the distance in her eyes.
"This can't happen. Even though it was a great night, it can't happen. I have to go before Cyrus catches us." She whispers, leaving his room and quickly going to her room that was just down the hall. She slides the room key in, closing the door behind her and taking a deep breath.
She is overwhelmed and couldn't believe herself for what she did. Olivia pulls herself together, a knock pulling her out of her thoughts. Now she has to face the world and run this campaign.
"Liv, I hope you're up! If I have to deal with this breakfast, so do you." Cyrus's voice carries from outside her door. Olivia opens up the door, "I'm ready." Olivia says, shaking her head at the man.
"Good. The governor better be up." Cyrus murmurs, Fitz's door opening. He is dressed and refreshed. He looked relaxed and happy.
He is happy. He had made love to the love of his life for the first time last night. It was his first time having sex in awhile and he couldn't be happier.
"I'm up." Fitz says, patting Cyrus and Olivia's shoulders, "Good morning you two. Sleep well?" Fitz asks them, his eyes catching Olivia's.
"Yes. Slept great." Cyrus says as they walk out of the hotel. Fitz smiling, "I did too. Slept like a baby." Fitz says, his eyes watching Olivia's. Olivia looks away quickly, going through a file as they sit on the bus.
Cyrus looks at Olivia, "You're quiet this morning. Are you okay?" He asks, looking at Olivia. Olivia looks up at Cyrus, smiling, "I'm fine Cy. Just thinking and working." Olivia lies, squeezing his hand and going back to work.
Work would drown out the memories of last night that keep flashing through her mind and soak her panties. She deserves love but cannot do this with a married man. She had boundaries.
The breakfast goes well, Fitz giving a speech at the end of it. He is made to be president, his charming smile smoothed everyone over. His blue eyes caught hers once during the speech and her heart defied her.
Olivia works quietly on the bus to each of the days events, they had one more night here and she needed to tell him that there is no hope - it was all a mistake.
The bus is quiet on the way back to the hotel, the team exhausted from the day. Olivia looks at Cyrus, "I'm going to talk to Governor Grant and ask him how he thinks he speech went." Olivia says to Cyrus, getting out of her seat and walking towards Fitz who sat alone on the back of the bus, like the night before.
Fitz turns to look at her as she approaches her, Olivia taking a deep breath as she sits. This man filled her with such warmth and love when they are near each other but it was wrong.
"Governor Grant." Olivia says softly, looking at him and clearing her throat.
"Oh come on, Olivia." Fitz murmurs, looking away and shaking his head at her.
Olivia takes a sharp breath, her fingers intertwined as nerves consume her. She didn't trust herself being this close to him. He intoxicated her.
"Last night- that was a mistake and cannot happen. I need you to understand that. I work for you and will make your president. That's all we are." Olivia whispers, meeting his eyes with her large doe eyes.
Fitz studies her face, taking in her sharp beautiful features, "Tell me something. Was last night good for you? If it was half as amazing as it was for me, then we're not done." Fitz asks in a low voice, turning himself to face her.
He caught her off guard, he always did. Olivia looks away, collecting her thoughts. She had to be honest. She did love this man - her one true love.
"Last night was extraordinary, Fitz. But it will not happen again. I'm sorry but it's over." Olivia says, getting up slowly as her eyes begin to fill with tears.
Fitz grabs her hand quickly, his eyes soft as his heart aches, "It's not."
