Summary:

A new adventure awaits Fairy Tail!

After the incidents around Tartarus Fairy Tail find themselves in a fierce struggle between Humans and Dragons. Dragons in human forms appears and terrorize Fiore – and no one is able to stop them, not even Fairy Tail. On top of that there's danger coming ahead as Acnologia feels the chaos and seems to come closer!

The only one who is able to put an end to the struggle is the original Dragon King who disappeared around 400 years ago!

Now it's up to Natsu and Co. to find the Dragon King in order to bring peace back to Fiore, however finding him may be the biggest obstacle they have to get over...

Prologue

-The Legend of the Witch-

400 years ago, the Dragons were the Kings of the World. The humans were food to the Dragons who flew the skies, freely dominating the lands and seas. However, an unknown Dragon questioned the reign of the Dragons. The latter wanted the Dragons and the humans to coexist in the world. A war brewed between the Dragons who supported Dragon-human coexistence, and those who were against the idea of coexisting with the humans.

The war spread chaos through the lands and the Dragons were at stalemate. The human-supporting Dragons devised a plan, they provided some humans with Magic that allowed them to slay Dragons, giving rise to the Dragon Slayers. The plan proved to be very successful, as the human-supporting Dragons gain the upper hand in the war. However, they did not anticipate their fellow Dragons Slayers' next move.

Corrupted by the immense power gifted unto them by the Dragons, the Dragon Slayers started to slay the Dragons on their side. Amongst those Dragon Slayers was one who murdered many Dragons, bathing in their blood until, eventually, he became a Dragon himself. This particular human proclaimed himself to be the Dragon King, and became known as The Black Dragon, Acnologia.

The previous Dragon King, a powerful being, had to escape and disappeared without any word. No one knew where he went to, even his own family. Through this Acnologia gained the title and started to slay more and more Dragons and also humans, devouring some of them.

During that time a young woman had teamed up with the Dragons who were for co-existing to fight those Dragons and people who were living to devour humans and against the co-exist of Dragons and Humans. She was well-known among humans and feared among Dragons who gave her the nickname Witch.

Every knew the description of the Witch but no one ever saw her – and those who did were those opposing the co-existence and were immediately killed by her.

Through the Witch's power many Dragons changed their mind and started to fight alongside her and three other Dragons who grew up with and also fought alongside her.

Just one day the Witch happened to meet the one who had claimed the title Dragon King and both went into a fierce fight. Both were equal to each other for some time but the Witch received many severe injuries. Trying to gain the upper hand she had played dead and gave Acnologia a long severe slash on his back as he turned away from her and disappeared by herself. Seeking revenge for their draw Acnologia set out to find the Witch and finally kill her. Since then the Witch was a legend among the people of Fiore and the story of her fight with Acnologia was told in every corner of the country, even spreading beyond the borders of the Fiore. However the story was most popular to the people within Mage Guilds as they saw it as a sign for hope to overcome anything with enough strength and hope.
