Disclaimer: Kitty does not own Sailor Moon.
Lea: As much as she's like to, but then Darien would be a much better character, Rini would be less of an annoying brat and Saphire would never have died.
Kitty: Shush. That was a secret. Dont worry...no character bashing at all...Ok. No Aza's harmed in the making of this chapter. Prolouge. Whatever.
Across the sky
Think beyond the moment, see beyond the day...
The setting sun cast beautiful colours over the darkening sky, clouds painted with the colours of the sunset slowly disappeared from sight as night settled over the city of Tokyo. Lights from high-rise apartments and traffic on the streets lit the otherwise dark city.
The single apartment building was no different from many of the others standing around it, lights turning off as its inhabitants went to bed. The night seemed no different than any other. It's owner, well please at new tenants who would save him from losing money with an empty apartment, certainly had no suspicions that his new renters where any more than they seemed.
The previously empty room opened onto the north side of the building, a balcony adorning the wall. Two feminine figures stood upon the balcony, gazing over the brightly lit city, their figures cast in shadows from the light emitting from the room behind them.
"So this is Tokyo." The first figure said softly. She held a hand out in front of her, forming it into a fist as if she could capture the city with that single gesture. The loose dress she was waring fluttered around her form in the cool breeze. Her voice, the only feature a watcher could be sure about, brought to mind winter days spent watching frozen lakes and snow covered landscapes, and winter nights with the snow falling softly out side the window.
The second figure was leaning of the balcony, shivering in the cool night air. A blanket appeared to be wrapped around her small figure, and her breath was misting in the air.
"Just why did we have to come to a place that's so cold?" She complained, pushing back off the rail a little to roughly and staggering backwards into the closed glass door. She growled as the other laughed. Her voice, the opposite of the firsts, reminded the listener of erupting volcanoes, or hot summer holidays spent at the beach.
"Cold? Sweetie, it's summer." The first replied, still looking over the city. The second girl raised a finger and pointed it at her back, a small tendril of flame dancing around the tip.
"Now now, don't fight." A third girl, spring fields full of flowers and pleasant days spent in the forest, emerged onto the baloney carrying steaming cups of liquid. The second girl accepted hers with a cry of gratitude, the first resisted a moment longer before too taking a mug and wrapping her hands around it.
"Right. We have to remember our mission." The second girl's tone turned serious as she too looked out over the view, cold forgotten. The first nodded.
"Yes. We have to find them, before it's to late. Before the others do. The sailor scouts."
Mea: Oh my you actually bothered to re-write this? I never thought you would.
Kitty: What are you doing here anyway? Well, readers, R&R...please...I'M SORRY I TOOK SO LONG -cowers-
