Task: I would like you to write about a strong family unit. Min 500 words

The Tonks family had always stood strong when they had faced difficulties.

It had all started fairly early, when Ted Tonks had turned out to be the first wizard in a family of muggles. After coming to Hogwarts, he had learned that not every muggle-born had the fortune of his family supporting him. Some parents were proud, like his', but some were also starting to shove their children away just because they were different from their relatives.

Ted was glad that his parents and siblings loved him the way he was and that they did not care about the comments their neighbours made about Ted being a strange fellow.

Some years later, Ted fell in love with Andromeda Black, daughter of a family with a long and unbroken line of pureblood wizards and witches.

Once again, he had not cared about what other people were thinking about the relationship and he had barely been able to express his happiness when it had become clear that Andromeda had the same opinion.

They ignored the uproar that ran through the Black family and, with the help of Ted's parents, ran away and started a life of their own. The two of them had experienced a lot of hate when they had went to Diagon Alley or any other magical place where they were destined to meet any relatives of Andromeda. But all the disgusted stares and snide remarks were meaning nothing to them. They had themselves, and the two of them was enough for them.

Only shortly after they had gotten married in a small, private ceremony, Andromeda had given birth to their daughter, Nymphadora.

The child was pure chaos, and Ted was more than happy when Dora's grandparents stepped in and took the troublemaker for a weekend, granting him and his wife a few days of silence. Being parents was not that easy, and they were glad that Mr and Mrs Tonks understood this and were there to help their son and daughter-in-law out.

But the hardest times for the Tonks family were yet to come.

Nymphadora grew up and became a auror, her parents supporting her decision and also standing behind their daughter as she joined the Order of the Phoenix. Surely, as parents, they would have preferred to know that their daughter was safe, but they saw how much she liked the job and her engagement to support Dumbledore.

About a year later, Nymphadora had confessed to them that she had fallen in love with Remus Lupin, a fellow Order member and werewolf. It had been a shock to them, not only because of his lycantrophy, but also because of the age gap between Remus and Dora.

Still they had seen the true love Nymphadora felt for Remus and it had reminded Andromeda and Ted of themselves, how they too had only cared about their love and not about what others said.

So they supported her and were rewarded by seeing their daughter happier than she had ever been before when she and Remus finally came together and got married.

And suddenly, the family found themselves in a middle of a war, while Nymphadora found out she was pregnant and Remus left her.

Andromeda had spent her nights holding her daughter, comforting her while also worrying about Ted, who had went on the run as soon as they had heard about the Death Eaters taking control of the Ministry. No matter how much pressure was put on them, they never even thought of giving away any informations about Ted or Remus.

Maybe it was in their blood. Because never in the history of the Tonks family had ever occurred a case in which a member of the family had let down somebody, because for them, love was stronger than social conventions.
