Weightless. That is all Kurt could be described as.
It was an accident, what happened - at least he hoped it was.
Maybe it was his fault that someone knocked him off a balcony. Was it intentional? Was it by accident? Do they realize what they've done? All these questions were floating through Kurt's mind as he fell from the enormous building. How long would it take before he it the ground? Would it be slow and painful, or quick and painless?
Kurt looks up at the blinding sun, accepting his fate. There was nothing he could do now. He closed his eyes and took his last breath as he neared closer to the ground. He never even got to say goodbye to anyone. He could hear people screaming, but he pushed all that aside, only focusing on the positives in his short life.
'...Hold on, why is this taking so long?' Kurt thought to himself. He opened his eyes and tried to look below himself. When he saw it, he knew what everyone was screaming about.
Kurt wasn't dead because he was...floating? Flying? Defying all laws of gravity?
He could hear people yelling all sorts of things, but all that stuck out to he was someone in the distance mumbling, "Concentrate. Concentrate. Concentrate."
Slowly and carefully, Kurt let his feet touch the ground, immediately being hit with a fresh wave of dizziness and nausea. He took deep breaths, trying to steady himself. He looked at everyone the was staring at him in terror. "What? I'm fine everyone, you can go away now. Seriously, leave," he snarked - he couldn't help it, something crazy was going on and he was frustrated. As everyone started to walk away, his eye caught someone staring at him from across the street.
Kurt eyebrows furrowed in confusion and frustration. He quickly walked over to the man. "Hey, it's not some freak show. Move along, pal," Kurt shouted at him as he got closer. The man in front of him merely smirked and raised an eyebrow.
"Say, what a stunt you've pulled, my darling Kurt," he crooned, his voice smooth and silky.
As he finally got close enough to the man to see his face, Kurt's breath hitched. This man was breathtakingly gorgeous, and somehow, strangely familiar.
"Who are you?" He whispered hoarsely. The man's smirk softened into a smile.
"My name is Blaine. I know you can't remember me, but I'm your fiancé."
So... I know I shouldn't really be writing a new story when I should be completing my other fic, but I just couldn't let this one go. I hope you guys like this :)
