Hey guys! This was a request by a guest that I wrote. I know, it's not very good, but I am experiencing writers block, so I decided to try writing something. I hope you all enjoy this little oneshot! Warning: Contains a little Ameidot.
"So, you just pick up the controller and hit the buttons? You've got to be joking me! Why do humans waste their time like this!" Peridot said. Steven wanted to show Peridot what video games were, but she didn't really get it.
"Well, it might seem weird, but they're really fun! Do you wanna play Super Mario Bros, Zoo Tycoon, Just Dance 2, or Splatoon?" Steven asked. He held up the games.
"I don't know, they all look extremely primitive." Peridot said in her matter-of-fact tone. Steven rolled his eyes.
"Okay, how about you play this one?" Steven asked as he put a game into the gaming counsel. He gave Peridot the controller.
"Ugh, okay, if you insist." Peridot said annoyed. She took the controller and started playing.
One Hour Later
"Can I have the controller back now?" Steven asked.
"No." Peridot replied, eyes not moving from the screen.
"Please?" Steven pleaded, giving Peridot a sad look.
"No." She said again.
"But you've been playing that for 5 hours!" Steven complained.
"I don't care." Peridot said. Then, Amethyst walked in.
"What's up, Perinerd?" Amethyst asked. Peridot almost dropped her controller and her face heated up.
"I'm just playing this game Steven showed me." Peridot said, trying to sound uninterested.
"Well, can I watch?" Amethyst asked.
"Sure!"
