16 year old Katarina Bishop was staring at the ceiling, while thinking about someone who was complicating her life beyond measure… Hale. She knew she liked him and that he liked her back, but what she didn't understand is the fact that in the 2 times she had kissed him, he hadn't kissed her back once. It made her doubt herself, but most of all she needed to know why. Quietly, she slipped out of her bed making sure she didn't wake the blonde beauty sleeping not very far from her. Once she got outside, she breathed the fresh, clean air and almost jumped at the voice coming from behind her.
"So what's next in our list of Jobs to do?" Hale walked up next to her and just stood there and Kat hated ever second of it. So she decided to take the conversation a different way.
"Why Hale?" She asked. Hale stared at her feeling confused and replied.
"What?"
"Do you not like me Hale? Is that why you haven't kissed me back yet, or is it the fact that I'm just deluding myself that you like me?" Kat asked in a very soft voice, while refusing to look at Hale. At these words, Hale understood the power he had over the small girl standing next to him and it broke his heart to see the girl he loved so sad, weak and vulnerable.
"Kat look at me" She did and he continued. "Kat I don't like you, I love you and please I'm begging you to understand, when you kissed me the first time, I didn't know what to do because you weren't acting like yourself and you kept leaving me, and I guess, I didn't want our first kiss to be something that only happened because you were drunk on that Job."
Kat stared at him and nodded her head for him to continue. "I couldn't kiss you back at the palace (Was it the palace or was it the casino? I usually get confused.) because you completely surprised me and I was kind of restrained if you remembered"
At this Kat stared at him as if to see if he was telling the truth and from what she saw he was.
"Fine, but I'm about to test your answer and lets see if you pass okay" Kat said with a sly grin on her face. Hale didn't know what was coming next, but he nodded his head agreeing with whatever Kat had in store for him and boy was he glad he did.
Kat slowly reached up and grabbed the back of his neck bringing his head down to her head, causing Hale to bend a little. She slowly moved her head closer and softly let her lips brush his, and responded with the enthusiasm he'd missed the first 2 times. Soon the two were locking their lips together so tightly and they were hanging on each other so closely that nothing could come between them. Hale pulled away for a second and whispered against her lips,
"Can we count this as our first kiss please?" Kat gave a small grin and before she pulled her mouth back on his, she replied
"Of course"
