Reminding

The tick-tock of the clock will ever remind me

Of your words sinking in my soul

Reminding me of the tales of old

Before my soul I sold

To be with you for now and forevermore

I never looked ahead

To what lied before me

The truth of your lost words

Reminding me of the day

You went away

And left me to live another day
