At the sound of the final bell rang the quiet of the hallways was quickly replaced by the hectic crowd.

His blue backpack slung over his shoulder as he pushed past to reach his locker before he could be late for practice.

It had been a week since the last note and in the back of his mind he had accepted that whatever mutual feelings had been going on with his admirer had faded away.

But when he unlocked and opened the old little blue box he quickly felt those feelings rush back.

He starred at the crumbled piece of paper and sighed before unfolding the words.

"So...I guess soccer season is starting again. Had forgotten you were on the team. Would it be...ok...to finally meet? I was nervous what your answer would be...so meet me after practice behind the stadium. I'll be the one in red."

After weeks of messages back and forth his nerves just shot up even more. He was finally meeting his admirer...

His watch beeped 5.46pm practice had just wrapped up. Coach had asked for him to take the equipment behind the stadium. The closer he got the more he started fidgetting with his hair and hands.

He waited 10 minutes. Then 15. And 20. No one had come.

He sighed. It felt like it was too good to be true. There was even the thought that someone had just done this as a joke see if the poor sucker would show up.

Before he could stand up his phone rang. It was Bart.

"Hey."

"Hey..." Jaime wasn't up for talking with his friend right now.

"How'd it go?"

"Still here."

"Oh." Bart's short reply pretty much summed it all up. His friend had warned him about encouraging the other person. What if it just didn't work out in the end? Jaime hasn't thought of that until right now.

"So you were right."

"Hermano, come on you know I didn't…"

"I know."

Jaime got up and grabbed his bag, it was time to go. "Well guess I'm heading home."

There was a pause from Bart on the other line. "Hey hang on I see you."

"Hermano, no…"

He didn't get a chance to explain he wanted to be alone. The line had gone dead and before he could argue Bart was standing in front of him with his shoulders haunched. He had on a red hoodie and was walking towards him.

"Hey man. So...you ok?"

Jaime gulped for second before he could really fix his eyes on him. When he finally focused on his eyes though there was something about them.

Red hoodie.

His eyes.

How he was here at that moment.

"Yea...I just…"

It was him.

Bart starred back at him lost in words. Until he finally broke the silence.

"Jaime...I just…"

"It's you…"

Bart froze. The words were finally out.

"I uh…" Bart looked down his face turning bright red.

"Yea it was me." He finally added, but there was a pause as he waited for Jaime"s reaction.

Bart couldn't manage to meet him in his eyes so Jaime took a step forward and lightly grabbed the hoodie closer to him. Before anyone of them could argue what was happening Bart felt Jaime's lips brushing his.

Softly at first and then his lips moved quickly kissing him back.

It took all of his effort to break the kiss and look back at his former friends eyes. Everything had changed.

"Sorry I wasn't what you were expecting" Bart frowned at him.

He was surprised at Jaime's shy but charming smile.

"Of course you were, Hermano."

Before he could argue his lips found Bart's again. Knowing too there was no going back.
