I Have Them Too
By Dana
I woke up shivering.
It wasn't cold
It was just another nightmare.
I have them too.
I don't scream
I don't cry out
I wake up and listen
For I know I'm
Not the only one tonight
I listen for sounds from next door
For what surely will come
As they do every night
I hear the crying
And I jump out of bed
Ready to protect
Whichever one it is tonight
Which little brother will it be
It doesn't matter to me
For I will protect them
from their dream
I go into the room
And see Hannibal already there
Trying to wake Face
from the nightmare
I know if I told them I get them too
I would never hear the end of it
From the crazy fool
So after Face is back to sleep
I can rest easier knowing
That he doesn't know
That I have them too
