OK, so hey. It has been a while since I've submitted anything here. But I just finished reading Inheritance and decided to continue on the story from how i see it. So this is the first chapter or prologue if you will. One thing I'm looking for through this is someone to proof read my work. Proof reading means looking for spelling and grammatically errors, as wells as someone who can point out inconsistencies. If you're interested just PM me.
CHAPTER 1:
It's been twenty-five years since Galbatorix was defeated by Eragon, Saphira and the rest of the Varden. Its been a little over 24 years since Eragon left Alagaesia to train and raise the new dragons and riders. Since leaving Alagaesia, Eragon has started to train 30 new riders and dragons and 17 hatchlings. Without the help of the eldarni the whole process would've been impossible. Eragon still undergoes training from Glaedr and the other dragons daily.
Eragon and Saphira have surpassed the power of any magician alive, even those among the elves. It was completely necessary, when raising wild dragons and new riders, Eragon and Saphira had to be able to keep control of the growing dragons and riders which sometimes meant proving their strength.
Eragon talked to Orik, and Nasuada at least two times a week. It was difficult to be in contact with them anymore with Nasuada running the former Empire. And Orik was keeping his races from going to war against each other. They would talk to him about politics and world events. He could tell that they were both extremely wary of the elves because of Ayra.
Eragon has sent 3 riders back to Alagaesia and he has raised them in to remain impartial to each of the races. He had several outposts built for the riders. He taught them wards to protect themselves from being charmed and warned the leaders of each races to leave his pupils alone. They all knew that if they tried anything would they have to answer to Eragon and Saphira.
Roran was maintaining the castle that he built after the war. Eragon was also able to maintain a limited relationship with his niece and nephew. It was strange for Eragon to watch Roran grow older meanwhile he ages about a day every year now. Eragon was able to send presents to his family in Alagaesia thanks to the last lesson Oromis taught him.
Who would've thought that spell would've been this useful to us when we first learnt it, thought Eragon to which Saphira snorted in response.
The person Eragon could stand the least to speak even a few words with was Arya. Every time he and Ayra talked it left him in tears and in a mental state that Saphira and the other elves that came with him agreed that it was unhealthy for the head rider to be in that state on such a common basis. Eragon and Arya did talk to each other but anymore than 3 times a year was too much. Saphira was able to control her emotions more and was able to converse with Fanir more often than Eragon and Arya.
Eragon was sitting eating his dinner when Nasuada appeared on a scrying mirror in Eragon's living quarters.
"Eragon, we are having some major problems here in Alagaesia."
"How so?" Eragon asked while finishing washing down his meal with a glass of water expecting to hear something about a large drawf clan dispute.
"I trust you not to act hasty Eragon. However we have two pressing matters in our land. First the elves have refused to communicate with us, even Vanir hasn't been seen in months!" exclaimed Nasuada.
"Well the elves are slow moving creatures, they don't fully understand the value of time as humans do." Eragon started to give an explanation.
"But the worst of it is that the most recent rider you sent back, The Urgal known as Ryoughr was slain!"
