Summary: "Don't tell me you actually found the money" she said, Reno grinned and nodded.
"Ev'ry single last cent" he chuckled.
Reno had a thoroughly smug grin plastered to his face as he strode over to Elena's desk.
"Sup Layney," he grinned, Elena raised an eyebrow.
"What do you want Reno" she muttered.
"You know the five thousand Gil I owe you?" Reno smirked, Elena nodded dubiously.
"And how if I don't pay then you'll sell my dead body to Hojo." Elena nodded again.
"Don't tell me you actually found the money" she said, Reno grinned and nodded.
"Ev'ry single last cent" he chuckled.
"You're kidding me right" Elena quipped.
"Nope! I pulled some strings, called a few people and convinced Boss to give me a few thou" he drawled,
"Come on I'll show ya" he added, motioning for her to follow.
Against her better judgement, Elena followed the red headed Turk to a small cleaner's closet. Inside the room, stacked in high teetering piles were jars and boxes full of five cent pieces.
"No! No way Reno" she hissed, Reno laughed.
"Hey, you only said to pay it back. Didn't say how. So I figured I'd be an ass and give you five thousand Gil in the smallest possible change!" he laughed and before Elena could protest he was gone, leaving her with five thousand Gil worth of small change.
She could have sworn she heard Reno say "see ya sucker"
