It was all over…. Wasn't it? Simms is dead now…. He has no reason at all to see Yoko ever again….

When she ran from him, that morning, on the beach.
His heart strings where yanked. His feelings awoken to something he hadn't realized himself.
A week after Simms death, Danny still couldn't stop thinking about her. Being drunk is supposed to make you forget, but not for him, no. When he gulps down, he swallows nothing but memories and imaginations of what would have happened if it would have been real, If the kisses where as sweet as she was fooled into believing.
Maybe he hadn't realized at the time, but it was a brick-load-weight kind of memory when he thought about it. Not only was lying to Yoko, he lied to himself, about how he felt…. Those kisses where real! Just as real as anything! Could he deny it? Not anymore.
He had thoughts of going to her apartment so many times. So, tonight he went to her apartment and knocked on the door.
"Just a minute!" She shouted, her voice was like a pang of silver!
He heard quick footsteps, and then the door swung open. Her long black hair flung back from the wind. She wore a short red dress with an immodest-racy- V-neck front, he couldn't help but stare!
Neither could she, but not in love, but fury! "What do you want?" She hissed at him. It stung the way she said that, it stung him right in the heart.
"Yoko, I wanted to talk!" Danny said.
She squinted her eyes slightly. Her cherry lipstick creasing into her lips as she spat. "Talk or lie?" Knife wound, knife twisted.
"Yoko, I'm sorry. It's my job; I have to do things like that!"
Her eyes turned from fury to pain. "You know you really had me goin' ? You made me feel like… Like no one has before." Fury returned. "But still nobody has! You know, you made me feel pretty stupid coming home crying my eyes out that day!" She attempted to close the door but his foot stopped it.
"Yoko, listen to me!" He asked.
"There's nothing to listen to solider! You're a dirty, rotten, lying cop and I hate you for it! And worst of all your just like all the others! Love me for a night, a day or so and then I find out your lying to me!"
"Yoko-"
"Buzz off pal. Get drunk in your own time and never show you face around her again!" She closed the door.
