hey guys! I just wanted to post this very short story I wrote way back in October last year. I don't really know where I'm going with this one, but it was rotting in my laptop and I just wanted to get it out of my system. Anyway, I present you with Scorose! (ScorpiusxRose, if it wasn't already obvious.)

Disclaimer: I'm not talented enough.

She was stubborn, alright. She is a Weasley after all. She would not be bothered to give up. Once Rose Weasley decided she would do something, she would do it – no matter how long it takes. And she would execute it flawlessly.

That's what she was. A perfectionist. Every detail had to be perfect. Mistakes were unacceptable. And failure? Failure wasn't even an option.

So that's how it all started. When Lily Luna Potter accidentally confessed to Rose Weasley her crush on Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy, the games began. Or the bet. Or whatever you want to call it. Unfortunately, or fortunately, poor little Rose knew absolutely nothing about what was truly happening.

"A month from now and he'll be head over heels for you, Lily," Rose said determinedly. "Just you wait and see."

Lily sniffed and wiped her tears with the back of her hand. "I'm sorry about all the fuss, Rose. Really. I just... I don't even know how it happened. Just, one morning, I looked at him and them bam! It hit me like a ton of bricks."

Rose raised her eyebrow.

"Well, not literally–"

"Obviously," Rose scoffed.

"–You know what I mean! It just hit me. I... I fell in love with him." Lily looked down at her crisscrossed hands.

A moment of silence.

"Well, let's not get crying over that. He'll be yours in no time!"

Lily breathed deeply and said, "Thank you, Rose. I mean it. You're the best cousin ever!"

"Yeah," I hugged her. "And great at matchmaking too."

They laughed. Lily covered her mouth with her hands, but Rose caught a glimpse of a somewhat devious smile, that only a person with a scheme could pull of, on her lips.

Eh, thought Rose. I must be hallucinating. Yeah, I skipped breakfast and only ate a mouthful during lunch. Yup, I'm hallucinating.

"Yes, I told her already. And she seemed bloody convinced by it."

"Alright. My turn."

"Do it properly, you dolt."

"Ow. What was that for? ...Yeah, okay. I will."

"Scorpius," I whispered.

He looked at me questioningly.

"Did you know that Lysander fancies Rose Weasley?" I grinned. I was well aware of the feelings my best friend has been harbouring for my cousin. 'Cause really, if you looked hard enough, it was bloody obvious!

"Oh, really?" he raises one eyebrow, but other than that, he didn't react the way Albus Severus Potter wanted him to.

"Yes, really."

"Alright," he goes back to eating his toast.

What? What the hell! Why isn't he acting the way he's supposed to?

"I failed."

"YOU WHAT?"

So yeah. It's not great, but... yeah...

But hey, you guys! I actually did humor. A bit. It's hard to write, okay? Especially when your forte is tragedy. Lol.

Review and provide me with obviously needed creative criticism?
