Chapter One
"Moira, come along its time to go." Verena Snape called to her daughter. She was taking Moira to the Hogwarts Express for the first time. She and her husband had decided that Moira's education would be better served at Hogwarts where he taught Potions.
"I'm coming Mum!" Moira yelled as she ran out the door.
While they were waiting for the limo that was to take them to King's Cross Verena took a moment to study her daughter. Moira had her father's black eyes, but unlike his they were warm and loving. Her hair fell just below her chin and was so brown that in some light it looked black. She wasn't what a person would normally called pretty, but she had this air about her that would make every man she walked past turn and look at her. That was of course till her father gave them a look that made them want to run screaming for their lives.
Finally they reached the platform.
"Now remember dear, if you ever need anything..." Verena began.
"Mum, Daddy is going to be their so I'm sure I wont get into any life threatening situations." Moira cut in knowing that her mother could go on for ages.
"Well I should hope not." Verena said crossly.
As soon as their conversation was through Moira ran to catch the train. Just as she was about to jump on she was stopped by someone calling her name.
"MOIRA!!"
She turned in the direction from which the voice had come and saw her two best friends Virginia Weasly and Callista Bernard.
Ginny had waist length wavy auburn hair and deep ocean blue eyes. Her once freckled covered face was now almost blemish free save a small band of freckles across her nose. She was indeed one sought after girls in Hogwarts second only to Callista.
Callista was strikingly gorgeous. Her silver blond hair was so light it rivaled even Draco Malfoy. Her eyes on the other hand were far from the gray eyes her cousin Draco had. Hers were a dark chocolate brown that you could just fall into and not notice that it was happening.
"Moira... Earth to Moira!" Gin called waving her hand in front of Moi's face.
"Wha... What did you say?" Moira asked looking around slightly confused.
"Calli dear I do believe Moira just caught sight of your darling cousin." Gin said teasingly.
"Why Gin how could you even suggest such a thing?" Calli asked with mock horror. "I mean dear Professor Snape would have a fit."
"All the more fun." Gin replied.
"But wait what about the darling Boy-Who-Lived?" Calli said taking the teasing on to the next boy that Moira liked.
"Will you two please stop talking as though I'm not even..."
"Why hello Moira. I didn't know that you were transferring this year."
'Oh boy its him. WHY did he have to show up now? Oh my gosh how much did he hear?!' Moira thought as she turned and looked straight into the eyes of Draco Malfoy.
"Yes, Draco I'm obviously transferring this year." Moira said suddenly VERY thankful for the fact that like most Slytherins she could easily mask her true emotions. "Now ladies I do believe it is time for us to board the train." She finished turning on her heel and leading Callista and Virginia onto the train.
