While reading a book in the Canterlot Library, Princess Celestia knocks on the library door.
*knock *knock *knock *knock
In surprise, Twilight accidentally dropped her book.
But, she quickly got it before it hit the library floor.
After a few more knocks, Twilight opened the door and was surprised to see the Princess standing in front of her.
"*Gasp! O—Oh Hi Celestia! I'm so, so, soooo, so sorry I didn't open the door sooner. It's just that I thought It was nothing so I just continued reading, and—" Twilight reasoned, a little too quickly. So after the 'and', she quickly gasps for air.
"Twilight, there's no need to say sorry! I only came here to ask you to, well—find one of Starswirl's spellbooks.." The Princess requested, whilst giggling.
She immediately smiled. She absolutely love, love, loved book hunting! Especially for these kinds of books! Twilight was delighted. She squealed and jumped like a little filly would if she were getting a new toy. Until the Princess said where to look for it.
"Twilight?" The Princess asked, with a motherly smile on her face. But she couldn't hide the look of uncertainty plastered across her face.
"Ummm...Yes?" Twilight answered.
With a hint of confusion in her voice. She tried to keep a smile, but she knew that look and voice the Princess was giving her.
It was the feeling of uncertainty.
Suddenly, an awkward silence occured. That is, when Princess Celestia started talking. Presumably breaking the silence.
"A—Are you sure you can handle this?...I mean the place you're going will be...well, I—you see..."
Immediately, Twilight asks, "W—Where? Is it somewhere dangerous? Or perhaps, some where very far from Equestria?! Or, or, WHERE?!" Twilight panicked.
"Twilight, calm down!" The princess whispered. She felt unsure if Twilight can do this without remembering her friends. But, she had been her student for years! Of course she knew her..
After Princess Celestia said those three words, Twilight calms down, then she asks..
"I—I'm sorry. B—But where is this book?"
The Princess felt more unsure. But she had to tell her, somehow..
"Twilight, it's in your old castle. I—In Ponyville! I hope you can do this job. You're the only pony who knows that place with the back of your hoof...so, please Twilight.." She paused for a short amount of time. Then continues her last sentence.
"Do it for Equestria needs you.."
She had a flurry of emotions. Happy, sad, and mostly unsure...or maybe even scared.
The book was found in her old castle. She wasn't even sure if she would say 'Yes' or 'No'.
But, as a faithful student and a friend to the Princess, she obeyed her.
"I—I w—won't let you down, princess!" Twilight said. She had a bit of nervousness and courage while saying those six words..
Of course, Princess Celestia was surprised to see her agree so quickly. But, she couldn't help but sense her expression and voice as she agreed to do the job. She also couldn't help but worry. But, she was sure Twilight can do it...She was sure..
As soon as she prepared her saddlebag and putting everything she needed in it, she put on a black coat
After a ride to her former home, Ponyville, she still had the same feelings she had right when Celestia told her that she was going back home to find an important book.
She also made sure to never be spotted. For it would make her job even more slower.
After a few minutes of walking, she rests on a vacant bench.
A few minutes of sitting and relaxation will do.
She opened her saddlebag and took her water bottle.
She took no hesitasion of drinking it. So she quickly gulped down half of it.
While walking awhile before she sat down to rest, she bumped into a few ponies that stared back angrily at her.
She wanted to finish this task, but she couldn't help but say sorry.
Only to receive complaining from easily irritated citizens.
If only they knew she was a princess...
No. Just No.
If she took off her disguise and be spotted by somepony, all of the ponies close to her will be bowing immediately.
But, she only had one thing to do here.
To get the spellbook...
Out of her thoughts, she closed her water bottle and put it back inside her saddlebag.
"Phew! Now let's get this over with and go back to Canterlot." Twilight said, relaxed.
After running quickly, she made it to her former home (or castle)...
The home she and her friends once hanged out in..
The home she had received when she and her friends beat Tirek..
The home of many memories of her friends..
A tear escaped from her left eye as soon as she got in. But suddenly, she remembered why she was here in the first place.
To find Starswirl's Book of Spells.
Without hesitation, she dashed towards the library.
The library she once owned..
As soon as she got in, she looked and looked and looked for 2 hours.
Because there are too many books, she had to spend hours to look for the spellbook. When something suddenly caught her eye...
