"THE BIG FISH"
Castiel was having a very bad day. His Father was working hard doing whatever it is that God does and Castiel was lonely. Gabriel and Michael had refused to let him tag along with them and it was no surprise that Raphael almost smote him for entering the infirmary when nothing was wrong with him. Castiel vowed never to be a healer angel. So Castiel was kicking around tufts of clouds when he saw his top 2 favorite big brother Lucifer stroll on by. He ran pumping his little tubby legs as fast as he could and latched himself onto Lucifer's very long leg. Lucifer looked down at him and smiled dislodging the baby angel from his leg. He squatted down to Castiel's level and ruffled his favorite baby brother's hair.
"What cha doing pipsqueak?" Castiel looked up into Lucifer's eyes and stared. Lucifer rocked back on his heels and laughed. When he was done tears were pouring down his face from laughter. Lucifer picked the small angel up and carried him close to his chest.
"Alright Cassie, lets you and I go somewhere fun. I know, you haven't seen Dad's latest creations yet have you? I bet you'll love it mister baby Einstein. Hold on tight now." Castiel grabbed onto his big brothers shirt and buried his face into his chest. He hated flying! He didn't open his eyes until he felt Lucifer lightly touch the ground. Castiel sniffled and Lucifer gently lifted his head up.
"Let's have none of that now. No theatrics, you are fine. I'm the only brother that would never let anything bad happen to you. IN fact, don't tell Father or the others, but I'd give my grace and my wings just to make sure you were safe Castiel. Make no mistake. Big Brother Lucifer is always on your side and I will always protect you from all around you." Castiel threw his arms around Lucifer's neck and hiccupped drawing comfort from his big brother. He squeaked when he heard a splash and whipped around backing as far into Lucifer as he could. Lucifer draped his arms around Castiel's small form and leaned his chin on top of Castiel's silky chocolate brown curls. He lazily pointed a finger at the little creature that was struggling mightily to pull itself out of a slimy, mucky, dirty, pond. Lucifer chuckled and said to Castiel in a sincere voice,
"Don't step on that fish, Castiel, big plans for that fish."
