The Devil Takes the Hindmost

"Speak of the devil-" drawled Dean, spotting their visitor.

"-who makes work for idle hands," finished Crowley, taking a mock bow. "They say two boys are half a boy, but I'm hoping you're the exception that proves that rule."

"You want something? Of course; there's nothing new under the sun," sighed Sam.

"Since I persuaded you to help," said Crowley. "I'm making hay while that sun still shines."

"No rest for the wicked," groaned Dean, "but your day will come!"

"It's every man for himself," snorted Crowley. "But the bigger they are, the harder they fall," he leered at Sam.

A/N: I've had several people ask me about "two boys are half a boy"; it's from "One boy's a boy, two boys are half a boy, and three boys are no boy at all!" It's why my son doesn't get to sit next to his best friend at school, because while one boy can work well on his own (if you can stop him fidgeting), the more you put together, the less work they'll end up doing.
