Lucy was boiling mad. Her latest job, with a reward of 500,000 jewels, would have covered 7 weeks rent, which would have let Lucy take a well-deserved rest. Instead, Erza destroyed half the town, Gray gave the town hypothermia, and Natsu ended up burning the hotel the team was staying in. As a result, the team was only given 70,000 jewel, which Lucy took all for herself.

As she let herself into the apartment, and entered her bedroom, she was greeted by the sight of Natsu, sitting on her bed, eating fire he conjured up from a box of matches. When he saw her, he got up with a smile on his face.

"Hey Luce, there was something I wanted to tel-"

He stumbled backward, reeling from Lucy's slap. She walked over and slapped him again, shoving him against her bedroom door. She was mad and both of them knew it.

"WHAT THE FUCK COULD YOU POSSIBLY HAVE TO SAY TO ME! Too many damn times, you, Gray, and Erza destroy any chances I have of paying my rent. It's only thanks to Mira-san that i'm not living on the streets. How is there any explanation for that, HUH? Get out! GET OUT, GET OUT, GET OUT!"

She knew what she was saying was hurtful, but she couldn't stop the flow that came from her mouth. When she finally calmed down, she looked up and saw a hurt look on his face. She had never seen him with this expression before. He looks kind of cute this way, she thought. She reached out toward him, but he knocked her hand away.

"What I wanted say, Luce, was that i'm sorry and that... I love you. But I guess you don't feel the same way about me."

He turned around, opening the door. Suddenly, she was faced with a split-second dilemma. Go after him or let him go. She made up her mind and raced towards Natsu. He turned around and she kissed him.

He suddenly seemed to melt. Like the fire inside him is finally consuming him, she thought. He wrapped his arms around her waist and responded back fiercely. She reached down for his shirt, a third of her body screaming what are you doing, while the other part of her hungered for him. She pulled it up and off of his body, receiving a shower of kisses. He growled in her ear

"Being naughty, are we?"

She responded back with another fierce kiss. Natsu took off her shirt and skirt, exposing her lacy blue bra and underwear.

"Nice look. I wouldn't be able to get anymore, would I?" said Natsu, with and innocent look on his face.

She blushed and laid back on the bed. Putting her arms around Natsu's neck, she brought him down to her. She whispered in his ear.

"Do you know what right now?"

"Me?" replied Natsu

"To be distracted."
