Ahh, umm, hello? Ah! Hello! You there! Reader! Erm, do ya mind if I call you friend? I mean, you bothered enough to click on this story, so I'm guessing you're interested...

Uhm, anyway, this is my first ever official story, The Dragon And The Baby Princess. It's sort of based off of me and my sister, I suppose. Ah, I shouldn't bother you with Author notes! Please, go enjoy my pre-story chapter! And uh, my updates will be a bit spotty, but I'll try my best! Onegai shimasu! *bows*

...

She wasn't always like this, the great Dragon supposed. She used to be a normal human, once upon a time. But that wizard with the ugly nose and mousey brown dirt colored hair had done this to her as punishment for what, she couldn't remember anymore. It had been too long since then.

She'd been one of the greatest female knights back then, even if she was always downgraded anyway by that foolish king and his snobby ass queen. She had become the palace guard dog after her change, made a mockery of and sneered at. Her own family had laughed at her.

Her lips curled into a sneer remembering their terrified screams and the pitiful begging they'd all done at the end of her claws when the enemy country attacked. She had been so surprised they had come to her. If they hadn't been so harsh, she supposed, maybe she would have helped. Instead, she had gone to the woods to sleep away from the war, and when she returned, everyone was dead and the kingdom was no more.

The abandoned castle became her home. As time passed, she figured out how to briefly change back to her human form, albeit with a few changes, such as the crimson draconian eyes, the fangs, the fire breathing, the ability to attack with the blue fire she breathed as a Dragon, and the whole eating fire thing she picked up on after munching on a flaming rabbit she'd been cooking that had caught fire while she daydreamed about the old days. She chuckled to herself. Now that had been an interesting surprise.

The young female Dragon supposed she was about 100 years old by now, judging by how the forest had aged into tall trees and thick vines and brush. Her form was about as tall as 10 single story peasant houses and half as wide as she was tall.

As long as a castle from snout to tailtip, she found after curiosity had her in a wondering mood. Shimmery copper and red scales with the exception of the light blue ones around her neck that turned into her signature light blue scaled scarf when she was human. Horns like a goat sported from her great head, and she had a fringe of scales jutting out from her jaw.

Sharp white teeth for tearing things apart were set permanently into her mouth, human or Dragon. A pale blue underbelly and big black claws were a few other things the had noted while examining herself one day, out of boredom to be truthful. Her wings were large, a not quite thin but not too thick webbing between the bones, like a bat. Flexible rhombus shaped spikes on her tail that had turned red after a while clicked together softly, snapping her out of a daydream. That's when she noticed the humans.

That's when this whole predicament started.
