Connie wrapped his arms around Reiner's neck as he was hoisted onto the bulky teen's back. Reiner hooked his arms underneath Connie's knees, holding securely as not to drop him.

"You're lucky."

Connie grunted, he didn't feel so lucky. He rested his forehead against the blondes shoulder, closing his eyes.

"You could have done more than just sprain your ankle."

Connie sighed, "I know."

"Shadis would have had your head if he saw you screwing around with Sasha instead of taking your hand to hand combat seriously."

Connie pursed his lips. It was bad enough he had to listen to Reiner lecture him about being more careful, he also just had to rub it in his face that he was goofing off when it happened. "Alright, mom." Connie grimaced. Did he really just say that out loud? He really hadn't meant too…

Reiner let out a sigh, stopping in his tracks. He looked around spotting a stump, he strode over, gently setting Connie on it.

"I- Shit man, I didn't mean that."

Reiner crouched down in front of the other teen. "I'm not trying to baby you." He placed a large hand on his head, rubbing the fuzz that was growing in.

Connie pouted, swatting at the hand causing Reiner to laugh.

"In all seriousness," He turned around to gather Connie on his back once more. "You might have been sent to the fields if you had broken your ankle for real."

"I know." He closed his eyes, relishing in the warmth that Reiner gave off.

"Swear you'll be more careful." He turned onto a small path that led to the medical building. "Take your training more seriously as well. You may have a secure spot in the top right now but it may not always be that way if you continue to slack."

"Yes sir." Connie let go with one of his arms to give a mock solute, he placed his fist against his chest.

"Wrong side." Reiner chuckled.

"Damn it, I'm never going to get it right!"
