Chapter 1~Juicy Little Secrets
Mona Vanderwaal smirked at 5 lacrosse boys as she sashayed toward her friend Hanna's. Those boys were NEVER going to get her. They better stop trying.
Mona looked at the For Sale sign. Those new people had just moved in. And they were throwing out tons of stuff from Ali's old house. Maybe she'd find something cool that belonged to Ali…
A girl with catlike eyes walked out of the house, snapping banana scented gum in her mouth. She held a cardboard box. Near the curb, she plopped it down, snapped her gum again and went back inside.
Mona looked through the box hungrily. There were photos of Ali and Jason, Ali and her friends, some books, etc. Mona sighed and threw the box down when a little magenta leather bound book surfaced. It had a lock and a little key. Mona looked around and pilfered the book, stuffing it in her purse. She pulled out her phone.
Han-
Can't come over =(. Gotta clean room. Come by l8tr.
Mona
As soon as she hit send, a reply came back

Hanna
Mona smiled and threw her phone into her back. Her fingers grazed the leather side of the book. Mona kicked out her heels and ran to her house. She had to open this book.
Opening her front door, Mona sprinted upstairs and used the key she had took as well to open the little book. It was a perfect fit. With a satisfying click, Mona unlocked the book. The first page fell in front of her eyes.

Well, that was wrong. It was now Mona's. She turned the page.
Dear Diary,
Emily kissed me in the tree house today! Sooooo weird!
Mona smiled and flipped to another page.
Dear Diary,
Aria and I were walking home from school when we saw her dad and a student of his kissing in his car! Aria was heartbroken!
Mona dog-eared the page and flipped to another.
Dear Diary,
I told Ian to kiss Spencer today! She better be happy now and stop droning about Ian. Ian loves me!
Mona dog-eared every page with a secret. One page simply read.
Secret-Hanna is bulimic!
Mona gasped and flipped to the last diary entry.
Ian and I are having a super secret meeting tonight. And I gave him an ultimatum. I told him that he better break up with Melissa before she goes to Prague-or I'd tell her and everyone else about us.
Mona smiled. She'd be the perfect bitch. Use these secrets to her advantage. And dethrone these little liars.
