*DISCLAIMER* I DONT ANY RIGHTS REGARDING THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS SERIES OR THE CHARACTERS. Its my own adaptation. Enjoy :)

Its hard when it happens to you I found. the undescriable way your body just feels numb, frozen because your hearts broken, your so consumed by this one moment, this one person that everything else disolves. I looked up from my phone tracing my finger along the books to make it seem like I was doing atleast something. Em was on the floor desperatly trying to find the sequel to the book she adores. I say adores more like locks herself in her room, fanfiction writing posters all over the wall. I wonder what she would think if. I told her what really happend. my eyes felt heavy so I let them close momentarily. I knew this was a mistake from the start. the echos of the last conversation still rung true in my head. his beautifully angelic sculpted face etched into my memory like a permanent reminder. "...so? Nate hello?" Em called up to me still picking through the books. "oh sorry what was that?" subconsciously I had picked up a novel and turned the book round to the blurb. "its okay" she laughed dusting herself off before she continued. "nate... you.. you found it!" she squeeled with glee barley holding back the scream that came out like a gasp. absentmindedly I had given her the book and watched her run away to purchase thing.

I knew then that she wouldnt be as eagled eyed as she is for the next few hours and let out a sigh of what I thought was relief but ended up crying. bracing myself on one of the book racks I held my hand over my mouth and tried with everything in me to hold it back. - for old times sake how about we go for that icecream. I stared with disbelief as his voice came through so clear that he could have been standing next to me. reassuring myself that the aisle was empty I took a minute to get my breathing back. by the time I had recovered my friend she was talking to the cashier, a nice looking brown haired girl she wasnt built like Em but she was breath takingly beautiful. I was stunned because I knew she didnt know. constantly tucking her hair behind her ear and tugging down her top I could tell her her signs. charlie read her name badge was telling Em that she had just finnished the first book and couldnt stop crying in the breakroom which I believed due to the slight smudging of her eye liner. you wouldnt really know unless you had been staring into her eyes. Em was just saying goodbye when reality flooded back in. she. looked In my direction before the customer had walked up to the till. a pang of reluctance hit me. Em was already sitting on the bench reading so I walked back into the book store certian that I wanted to he served by her. I remembered that she had realised her drink was empty I watched her throw it away mid conversation with Em. grabbing 3 cokes from the chiller I made my way back to her.
