Poison and Genjutsu master. Perfect chakra control.

Her medical prowess rivaled that of her shishou, Slug Princess, Lady Tsunade.

Best friend of the Nine-Tails Jinchuuriki, Uzumaki Naruto.

But none of this mattered. None of the praise, none of the admiration or titles, mattered when it didn't come from the one person she wanted acknowledgement from. Sasu-

No. She wouldn't think of him. Not now, but soon.

Soon they would find him and bring him back. Then they would be Team 7 again.

Naruto, with his ramen obsession and his brighter-than-the-sun smiles, Sakura, with her strength and cheerful optimism and Him, with his brooding smirks (no smiles from him), and protective instincts. They would go on missions and one day, one day, He would ask her to be the one to grow old with him. To share the rest of her life with. And of course, she would say yes.

Sakura snorted at the thought. Of course she would say yes. She couldn't say "no". She would never say "no".

But her little fantasies would have to wait until they found him. IF they found hi-.

Sakura shook her head, as her thoughts were heading into forbidden territory.

They would find him. She would find him. And then, he would give her the acknowledgement that she so craved.

But until then, she would have to wait. She had no choice really, Sakura mused. But wait she had to. And wait she will.

Sakura smiled bitterly.

And wait she did.

Hey everyone! I'm back! So, after a long time of silence, I have created this drabble(ish) fic as a come-back of sorts. I wrote it in the span of 30 minutes, so it probably sucks... The age range for Sakura in this fic is somewhere around 20ish, you decide!

Anyway, for those who have read "Charcoal", I will be re-writing it and making a sequel.

Also, do not be alarmed if my pen name suddenly changes to rainingssouls. Due to personal reasons, (such as, my little brother's unsolicited reading of my stories.) I might change it for a few days, then it will go back to Mikume-chan.
