"Oh, Angelcaaaake…"

Angel smirked to herself as she heard Collins' voice rumbling from the bedroom.

"Yes, dear?" She opened up a cupboard to discover that the sugar bowl was empty.

"I'm so lonely here without youuuuu…"

"Hold on, baby…" Angel giggled. "I'm making us breakfast."

"Oh, really? What?" Collins hollered at her from the bedroom.

"Pancakes!"

"What??"

"Pancakes!" Angel grinned, yelling back at him as loud as she could.

"Oh, okay! Sounds yummy!"

"I sure hope so, honey!"

Giving one last glance at the empty sugar bowl, Angel walked over to the kitchen table, her heels clicking on the floor as she did so. She gripped onto the back of a chair and dragged it back over to the cupboard. She carefully and gracefully stood up on it, rooting through the top of the cupboard for the bag of sugar. At last she had found it.

It weighed about 15 pounds so moving it from up there would be difficult. Angel did have excellent balance, however.

She gripped onto it and tugged…it didn't budge.

Frowning slightly in concentration, Angel pulled harder, grunting quietly as she did so.

"Come on…" She pleaded to the inanimate object.

She gave it one last hard yank…the sugar bag fell out of the cabinet and thudded onto the counter, exploding in the process…sugar was dusting the whole surface of the counter. Angel squeaked and stumbled back instinctively, forgetting that she was on the chair…in heels.

To her horror, she could feel herself toppling over backwards as she lost her balance. She gasped and frantically grabbed at the cupboard doors…but she couldn't grab a hold of them in time. She squeezed her eyes shut and squealed as she felt herself falling…

"Ooof!" She had landed in a pair of strong arms.

Angel opened her eyes and found herself gazing into the grinning face of her lover.

"My, my, my…you really did fall from heaven!" Collins grinned even wider. "Are you alright?"

Angel rolled her eyes at Collins' sweet yet corny pick up line. She also grinned.

"I'm fine, baby…thank you for asking. How long were you standing there, anyway…?"

"Just long enough to admire the view. And then…suddenly it's raining Angels and sugar in my kitchen!" Collins faked annoyance.

Angel could feel her face heating up.

"Sorry about the sugar, baby…"

"Don't worry about it, Angelcake…I've got my sugar right here…"

He leaned in and kissed Angel gently on the lips.

Angel sighed softly and let her hands stroke his hair. When they broke the kiss, Angel smiled at him, caressing his face.

"Thank you for saving me."

Collins winked at her. "Yeah, you'd better thank me! You owe me your life!"

Angel giggled.

"I'll repay you as soon as you put me down…so that I can clean up the mess I made…"

Collins tightened his grip on her and began carrying her to the bedroom. Angel squealed with glee.

"I was thinkin' of something a little different. First, we make our own little mess. Then I'll help you clean up and make breakfast. Deal?"

Angel did not object.
