Hey, so I had to write a poem for English and without even realizing it, I based it on some ideas from Twilight. Hope you like it! I don't think it's that great but I thought it'd be fun to post. – Lauren

Vampires Will Never Hurt You
A fleeting glance will make you wonder,
what lies behind those golden eyes?
Such ancient age; a mystery
he'll share though you may cry.
You sit rigid as he paces,
his appearance is unflawed.
He convinces everyone but you
with a carefully cultivated façade.
He opens his mouth, as if to speak,
but by then you know too well.
Pointy pearl teeth, deathly pale skin
and an abnormally keen sense of smell.
A blood lust that's consumed him,
but lo, it's not too late.
Never forget, love conquers all
even a vampire's twisted fate.
Undead heart alive when you're around him,
though it hurts him so much to say.
For if he is to keep you safe
a secret it must stay…
