Again…
I dream of the same thing night after night.
In this dream I see a desert flower, wrecked with the suns' heat; it did not seem that this plant would make it much longer.
But when I lowered my eyes to mourn for this sad flower, I saw a mystery man walk up to it, his gaze also down. "Sir, what could we do for this poor plant? Please, we need to do something or it will die!" I wanted to plead.
However, before I could let these words escape from my constricted throat, the man did the unthinkable. He ripped his shirt and made a shelter for it. Tears welled up in my eyes as I watched the man also take his canteen and give the plant the rest of his water.
After this was done, the man stood up and it was then that his face became clear: Vash! I ran into his arms and began to weep. "This is a dream, isn't it?"
Vash nodded regretfully as he said "But this isn't the end. You, like that flower, are dying. You need shelter and comfort. When the day comes that you strike water, like that flower, look into the horizon, and what you see will make you surely bloom, just like that flower." Then he vanished.
Just like I always do in my dream, I fall down and let the tears fall. But what made this last one different was that the flower had become beautiful, so full of life and vitality.
That day, when Millie and the other townspeople struck water, I remembered my dream and looked into the distance; when I did so, I saw someone that I thought I would never see again.
Vash…
As I ran into his arms, he looked down and smiled at me. "Just like that flower, you are a beautiful bloom."
Oh Vash…
