Frost licked at his nose, turning a shade of red that she once liked.

"Heh…" He laughed numbly. Once….

But now, she laid with a small smile. Her once full lips, always red, were a light shade of blue.

Like her eyes….

Just the way he always loved it.

The cities' long shadow hung over the glistening snow. The sun was hidden behind the light clouds that still threatened a freezing cold winter.

With the shadow and the sun hidden it seemed like all light had left his world.

Which was actually quite true.

Because there his only light laid; frozen on the ground.

His red eyes trailed up her pale skin. Her torn clothes.

That damn smile that was small as ever, but forever there.

Blue lips.

Red noses.

Why was she on the ground again?

Why, still, wouldn't she open her beautiful, aqua eyes again? Like she did every morning he snuck out so they could finally love on each other.

She was always there.

She still in fact was.

A tear slid down his cheek, and he was surprised it didn't freeze and just fall off.

Sad thing is that's what he expected his heart to do as well.

Their love had been a secret.

Planned out from that first kiss in the back of the school.

Not a very romantic start to their relationship, but still it meant the world to him.

And he knew she felt the same.

But he didn't know how she felt anymore.

She probably hated him.

Like the rest of this god forsaken and damned town.

It felt, when they loved, like it was them against the world. And it kinda was.

Everyone else was in the past while they moved on…. Found their own paths of life.

Hers was obviously brighter, leading to a dark and tragic ending.

While his would be forever alone and dark.

He felt his knees quiver and soon gave way.

They were scraped and cut, and it burned like hell when they met the ice cold snowy ground.

"Do you remember, back when we all used to be annoying little kid enemies? Yet every snowy day, we somewhat all got along so we could share the snow?" She sighed, gazing down at the glorious wonderland just outside of her house. "We all would throw snowballs, build snowmen, and once and a while, you guys would let loose a bit and make snow angels with us "cootie filled girly girls"!" She giggled.

He let a small smile tug at his cold and sore lips.

Snow angels.

Looking up at the pale white sky, he finally saw a speck of the gorgeous sun

It wasn't enough to warm his cold and numb soul, but as long as it was in sight.

He felt that his snow angel would be fine.
