She was his girl, the only one he'd spent more than a year with. He actually couldn't imagine a life without her. She held all his secrets and at there were times with her where it became a sort of don't ask, don't tell.
In their time together she'd been hurt, sometimes by him, sometimes by accidents or things unknown. He kept her going though. When he had been a boy, almost sixteen, he would dream of having her, of going out on the town, proudly with her. Now he was in his late twenties and he had her and she would always be his.
"Dean?" he heard his brother call to him from the door of the motel room.
"Hmm?" he asked as he turned to face him.
"What are you doin' out here? It's three in the morning." Sam said sort of groggily.
"Impala was making noises earlier, thought I'd check under her hood. That's all." Dean said as he closed the hood of the Impala.
"Right." Sam said, smiling to himself, he'd seen the dreamy look Dean had had on his face when he turned to face him.
"What are ya smilin' about?" Dean questioned, not sure of what Sam's smile was for.
"Nothin'. Just remember that the Impala is just a car." Sam said, knowing the response he was about to get.
"A car, just a car? Sam, this baby, is a work of art, she is not something to just be looked over." Dean said, completely serious.
"Dude, just come in, get some sleep and chill. She'll be there in the morning." Sam said. And after one last glance at his baby, Dean went in, ready to catch up on some sleep.
The End
