Hey, once again, here is another NejiTen. Just love them. Another one-shot I wrote in class. Guess inspiration just hit me and I wrote it, but this was over 6 months ago.

Disclaimer: do not own Naruto :'(

[Neji and Tenten have been close friends for a very long time, but recently he has been feeling a feeling that he thought would never exist within him… Love.]

"(Panting) Can we please take a break now? I am a little exhausted…" Tenten whispered as she leaned on her knees for support.

"Okay, I think we have trained enough for today. Take a break." Neji replied in a monotone as he sat down by his favorite tree where he meditated.

"Thanks, Neji." She said with a smile, her eyes sparkling with wonder as she sat next to him.

"Sorry, I cut your training short. Next time I promise to do my best. I owe you that much at least." She said as she leaned back and closed her eyes. Neji just sat there, looking at her with affection. His eyes saying those things, his mouth couldn't.

*Love is… God, I can't describe it.*

"Neji, I really want to go to that festival, but now I can't… I don't have a partner." Tenten sighed.

"I will accompany you." He replied nonchalantly.

"What? Really?" she asked as her eyes widened.

"Yes, that's what friends are there for." He uttered with a smile.

"Oh thanks, Neji. You are the best!" she yelled with joy as she jumped up and down. He couldn't help but to just chuckle at her childishness.

*Ding Dong

"Hey, Neji. On time as usual, eh?" Tenten said as she let him in.

"Hn." He said as he sat down in the lounge.

"Two more minutes. I am almost done." She yelled as she ran upstairs.

When she came down, Neji's eyes almost popped out. She looked so beautiful. She wore a light green yakuta with her hair down. The make up was simple; a little light green eye shadow and lip-gloss.

"Shall we?" she asked with a smile as she walked up to him.

"After you." He replied, hoping his blush wasn't visible.

When they arrived there, the entire Konoha 12 (including Sasuke) got together. They all ate together and then decided to split for the fireworks.

Tenten managed to drag Neji to the bridge above the lake, the best spot in the entire village to see them. They still had time so they leaned over and stared at the water flow by, both in deep though.

'Neji will always think of me as a friend, nothing more.' Tenten thought to herself. 'I should give up on that dream now.' She sighed softly.

'It's now or never. I haven't done this before so let's hope it all works out. Please don't refuse.' Neji thought to himself as he placed his hands in his pockets.

"It's starting!" Tenten yelled with excitement as she pointed towards the sky. Neji looked up and smiled.

'Here goes.' He thought as he pulled out a note from his pockets and placed it in her hands.

She frowned at him and began to open the note. As she read it, her eyes widened. She looked at Neji, trying to confirm her doubt but all she got was a sincere smile. Subconsciously she leaned forward and pulled him into a warm embrace.

"I love you too, Neji." she murmured into his chest. Feeling relieved and happy, he tightened the embrace and enjoyed the sound of the fireworks in the background.

The end, gosh, it brought tears to my eyes, too sweet :')

So you know how it goes, reviews please :)
