Prologue
A/N: I'm writing this based on the movie. I saw the series, but it was when I was in, like, 6th or 7th grade, so I don't remember very much. (Wasn't Allen in love with Hitomi for a while??? I don't know. But I remembered all of the characters and some of the episodes I saw... however, I figured that it would be easier for me to base he story on the movie. Sorry to the series fans!
Disclaimer: I don't know why we have to do this, because everybody knows that we, as authors, have no rights to anything... and even if we sere sued, most of us are minors with hardly a penny to our names... but for the sake of the legal system- I DON'T OWN ANYTHING!!!!

Hitomi looked around. Am I- back home? she thought, No- Van!
"Hitomi!" Yukari Uchida, her best friend, ran over to her.
"Yukari?"
"I'm worried about you Hitomi... and I'm not letting you push me away again!" Yukari said.
"It's okay Yukari- I'm okay," Hitomi reassured, "Now that I've had a few days to think things through-"
"Wait! A few days? Hitomi, I only just saw you a few minutes ago..." Yukari said, making Hitomi gasp, "Are you feeling okay?"
Hitomi blinked. A few minutes???
"Heh. Yeah, I'm fine..." Hitomi said, "What I meant was that I have been thinking about it for the last few days. And I'm better now- really."
"Oh. So... will you come tomorrow? I won't take no for an answer," Yukari said.
Hitomi smiled. "Yeah. I may even join the track team again."
"Really? Are you serious?" Yukari grinned, "That would be awesome!"
"Come on- if I don't get home soon my parents will kill me!"
