Today was Elsa's 31st birthday. What that meant was different for each person. For most, it meant the 10th anniversary of the queen's coronation. For others, it was a reminder of The Great Freeze. However, for a certain group of people, it was the 10th anniversary of Elsa and Anna seeing each other after their separation. For that group, it was quite the day.
Elsa was eating her breakfast peacefully, when she saw an excited figure running towards her. Before she could say anything the figure spoke. "Could you please wear your ice dress today?" Recognizing the figure in front of her, she replied. "No Anna, you know I can't." "Why not?" She asked with the saddest face she could make. Elsa told her with a stern voice "You already know why." Anna's face filled with disappointment. "Nobody hates your ice powers! It's been 10 years since that incident. Nobody cares anymore about the eternal winter!" The platinum blonde spoke "My answer remains the same." How about you wear it for our 10th anniversary of being sisters again?" Elsa sighed. "Fine, but only for one hour." Anna danced in victory. "It took 10 years but I finally convinced you!"
When her sister finally changed into her ice dress she was shocked.
"You look like you haven't aged a day." "Thank you." Elsa said, blushing a little. Anna spoke with a more worried tone. "No no no. You literally look like you haven't aged a day." The redhead took her confused sister by her hand to the nearest mirror. "Here, I'll show you" Elsa looked in the mirror, unable to believe what she's seeing. In the mirror stood a figure identical to the one she was 10 years ago. Frost started to appear on the ground as bad memories resurfaced. Eventually, it started creeping up the walls as she remembered more. "SNAP OUT OF IT!" Anna yelled. Anna spoke in a calmer voice. "We'll go talk to the trolls. They seem to know a lot about magic." "Are you sure?" Elsa asked. "Yes, now wait here while I go get Kristoff."
Anna found Kristoff and Sven playing outside. "Kristoff, get Sven ready. We need to go meet the trolls immediately." Anna said with a firm voice. "Why would we need to go to the trolls?" the blonde asked. "Something's happened to Elsa. I will explain while we are going there." "You should go get her now." said Kristoff. "Oh! I forgot about that!" Before he could even ask her how she could forget such an important detail, she was already inside the castle.
