Colchester 2028

Alfie Owens hit the off button on his alarm clock and threw back his covers.

He swung his legs out of bed and stood the floor cold under his bare feet. He padded into the bathroom, stripping naked and taking a shower.

After he was clean, he wrapped a towel around his waist and returned to his room.

He picked out his clothes:

A button up blue Oxford shirt, a bow tie, Khaki pants and brown Sperry's

He was often mocked at school for dressing like this, but he didn't care. As an infant, he and his dad had been visited by his dad's friend The Doctor. Though Alfie did not remember this, Craig had told him that story and endless others of the Time Lord for much of his life.

As Alfie was walking to school, he noticed something sod: an ancient blue police box….

Could it be The TARDIS, the Doctor's spaceship?

Alfie cautiously approached.

The doors swung open, but the man that stepped out was not the Doctor Craig had always described, the Doctor that Alfie emulated in his dress.

This man was old, dressed in a black coat with red inner linings. Underneath he wore a white shirt buttoned all the way up. He also wore black boots and pants.

"Doctor?" Alfie asked.

From what Craig had told him about The Doctor, this could definitely be him.

"Who are you?" The Man asked in a Scottish accent.

"Alfie Owens." Alfie said.

"Stormageddon?" The Doctor asked.

"I haven't gone by that name in a long time." Alfie said.

"Only my parents know that name. My parents… and the Doctor."

"I am The Doctor." The Doctor said.

There was a pause.

"Doctor, what are you doing here?"

"My companion, Clara left me. I came here to visit Craig and Sophie and Baby You. Guess I jumped too far."

"Just a bit, Doctor. Its 2028. I'm seventeen."

"Wow. Way too far." The Doctor said.

"So… Doctor… you have an opening on the TARDIS?" Alfie asked awkwardly.

"I suppose." The Doctor said.

"Can I come?" Alfie asked.

"Why Not? Of course, you'll have to lose the bow tie, they are so one hundred years ago."

"Home, then." Alfie said.

The Doctor and Alfie backtracked tot Alfie's house.

Craig and Sophie were at work, so the Doctor wrote them a letter while Alfie changed:

Jeans, Converse Chuck Taylors, A t-shirt- blue with a dark collar, and a button up shirt, left unbuttoned for the sake of being casual.

"That's better." The Doctor said when Alfie returned downstairs.

"Doctor, why do you look so different?" Alfie asked.

"I regenerated." The Doctor said.

Craig had told Alfie all about regeneration.

"I left your parents a letter." The Doctor said.

"Good." Alfie said.

Alfie stepped into the TARDIS after the Doctor.

It was, as Craig had told him millions of times:
"Bigger on the inside. Yes." The Doctor said, finishing Alfie's sentence.

Alfie grinned.

"So, Alfie Owens, Stormageddon; Where to?" The Doctor asked.
