A Troublesome Time
This story continues where Love at first sight left off
I really liked this town it was very nice especially Karen that's why I wondered when I saw her crying. "What's the matter Karen?" I asked "**Sniff** It's my parents they're fighting again" "it's O.K. if you want to stay at my house till things calm down if you want I can sleep on the couch" "Really thanks Alex you're a really good friend" Karen said as she hugged me. So you expect everything to be better in the morning wrong her parents were still not talking to each other. "OH Alex I am so worried what if they get a divorce" "Don't worry Karen they won't get a divorce I will talk to them if you want" I offered. "No it's O.K. I will talk to them tonight thanks for letting me stay here for the night it was really nice of you" "No problem Karen anytime you want to talk or come over you can". As the day went on I found myself talking to the other villagers like Bailey he ran the livestock store and his granddaughter May. "Man running a farm is hard work I don't know how my Grandpa did it" "Your Grandpa was a very strong man you look like him" "He and I used to play together as children". I was about to enter the grocery store when I heard yelling then a door slam and Karen came running out crying. "Oh Alex they won't listen to me" as she was telling me this she was hugging me. "It's O.K. Karen try to calm down now," I said trying to comfort her. "Alex I don't know what's wrong they usually have made up by now but they haven't". Being the gentleman that I am I invited her to stay at my house. She fell asleep at like 5 o'clock so I went to ask Pastor Carter what to do". "I think you should tell her parents what this petty squabble is doing to her". I thanked the Pastor and left for my house she was having a shower at the time so I got dinner ready. "Cheese omelets with tomatoes and peppers" "MMMMM delicious". We ate then fell asleep, the next morning as soon as I woke up I went to Karen's house and talked to her parents. "Can't you two see what this is doing to your daughter" "Yeah all you two do is fight and never notice how upset I am" "Yesterday she came to me crying cause of you do you even know why your fighting?" "I guess not," said her Father. "Sorry Honey we won't fight anymore if we do and it upsets you tell us," said her mother. Later that night we were walking along the beach "Alex thanks for what you did today it really helped us" "no problem Karen anything for you" I said as I kissed her hand. "Goodnight Alex see you tomorrow," said Karen as she kissed me on the cheek. Well another day has ended and my relationship with Karen has gotten even more better.
