Uninvited Guests
There was an old house in a very small town located in North Carolina. Inside the house lived a small family that consisted of a mother named Michelle, father named Paul, a son named Ted, and a daughter named Alica. This family was very poor so they could not fix the repairs that needed to be done on this house. The family was so poor they were living on monthly pay checks hoping to be able to feed their children.
All things were perfect until one day Paul tried to go down into the basement area of the house but the door would not open. He tried and tried to open the door but it would not move. Finally it opened and he went down the stairs and he found a dead person. All of a sudden he heard a crash and then the door slammed shut with a 'boom!' "Holy cow! What was that?" Paul exclaimed "Who's there?" "It's me" a scary voice said. "I'm going to kill you and your family." "Wait! What! Who are you and what do you want with me and my family?" Paul asked.
The Paul had gotten no response to his question; he had waited for over five minutes and no answer for the voice. All of a sudden he felt something touch him. "Help, help, help!" Paul screamed as he was being dragged away deeper and deeper into the basement and he could now see nothing, not a glimpse of light. The only people to hear him were his family. Michelle, Alicia, and Ted try to knock down the door but nothing worked. Michelle went to call the police and they answers "What is you emergency?" the operator asked. "My husband went down the basement and the screamed for help and we can't get down there because the door won't budge please help!" she said as she was out of breath. "Calm down help is on the way they should be here in less than five minutes." The lady said as she hung up. What Michelle didn't realize was that those five minutes would be the longest five minutes of her life.
Michelle walked over to the door where Alicia and Ted whom were at the basement door crying "Daddy's not coming back is he?" They said in unison "Don't worry he will be back soon." Michelle reassured her children. "HELP!" Paul screamed loud enough for Michelle to hear. Paul had gotten out of the grip of the voice and he turned to see who the voice really was "Brian!?!" Paul screamed and started to run. His heart was pounding. He was sure he had seen the doorknob turn. "Paul!" Michelle screamed "Help me please!" Paul screamed as he pounded on the door.
The door finally opened and by then the police was there and they arrested Paul's best friend Brian and booked him and he would be in jail for at least five years. From that day on that family never set foot in the basement again because of that incident. Also the family's luck seemed to turn because Michelle and Paul both found amazing jobs and they now work together and they were able to buy a new home. Four days before Brian was supposed to be released from jail on probation he was told that he was going to have to serve another five years in jail because they found more evidence. The evidence they found might have been planted but that we will never know.
