Her words was painful. He knew this wouldn´t be easy. But he said the words
anyway.
After he spoke, he saw sadness and the sense of hurt in her eyes.

He took the necklace in his hand and gave it to her.
"This belongs to you.." he whispered and found it hard to speak.
She returned it and closed his hand around it.
Tears was in her eyes, but they were also filled with anger towards him.
"It was a gift" She said "Keep it!" And with one last look upon him she
turned around and walked away.

He looked after her and his heart were filled with sorrow. He loved her
with all his heart, like he would never love anyone else. Her love for him
was the only thing that kept him going. But he had to push her away. Or
else she would waste her life on him. He whispered the words to her shadow,
that he didn´t dare say to her.
